I was born in the 40's, not everyone had electricity back then so of course we had oil lamps.
My Mom had two or three as “ornaments” in my childhood home that she would use occasionally. My sisters have kept them some her passing and display and occasionally use them decoratively to this day. They look just like that one.PipeTobacco
