Harbor Freight had a good price on 10 X 20 Carports, with a coupon discount I could get one for 100 bucks so for shits and giggles I bought one. At times it is nice to have a little shelter when working outside. It is made about as cheaply as a shelter can be made and expect it to last over a half hour in a good breeze, the frame tubing is only 1 ¼” and pretty thin walled.
I decided that it would stand up better if it was made into two ten foot units so I made up half a unit and attached it to Carrol’s carport, used a heavy duty Harbor Freight tarp for a cover, like many carports hers is often to full of other things to get her car all the way under it so now her car is completely under cover during rains and such. I’ll put the other half a unit together to use when working on cars and other projects.
