Life treats some people like shit ...person lives a suck, shitty, fucked-up existence ...in that frame of mind, having to live such a lifestyle, person can't stand the thought that others actually get to enjoy life, and can (seemingly) navigate their existence so effortlessly.
So ... "Revenge on the world for being so unfair!" (to them)
People are, essentially, narcissists and tyrants by nature. Everyone wants to be the "master" not the "slave". And if one is not happy with their "position" in life they have fantasies of retaliating ...and some are actually nervy enough to actually follow through on such.
