A keeper

Went to the park yesterday afternoon and finely got a decent bass. I think, but the bass in the fishing regs show all the different bass as having two dorsal fins and it only has one.
Plenty of hybrids here though so I’m calling it a bass unless someone corrects me.

Then my new reel jammed, but then I got something on my worm rig, good fighter but got loose so don’t know what it was. There are some pretty blue and black bugs here, about an inch long, looks like flying sticks, don’t know what they are.

If someone looks at your black clothes and asks who’s funeral look around and say, “Haven’t decided yet.”

My first bass

My first fish yesterday was a bass, looks big in the picture but was only 6 or 7 inches long and not a keeper, they have to be over 14 inches to keep. Also caught one small catfish that wasn’t a keeper.

My fishing friends didn’t show up but it was a fine morning on the bayou and my dick enjoyed hanging out for a while so the sun could admire it.

The campsites at Fabis are big, plenty of room, the website says it is 2 miles up FM 2125 but fail to mention that it is another 1.2 miles from FM 2125. Total miles from the Stripes station 4.2 miles.

Mexico City is home to the largest population of U.S. Americans living outside the United States.

New fishing spot

Drex mentioned Fabis Primitive Park so I checked it out. Pretty decent looking place, 8 campsites and one shitter. May start taking my camper out there some, haven’t used it since moving into an apartment.

I’m going fishing out there this morning with a couple of friends, it isn’t very far out of town.

Hard to love everyone, just like everyone with indifference. Ponder on that, it is live and let live, as long as they are not fucking with you.

Ouch

Getting too old to fall over on a bike but after picking myself up with only a hole in my pants leg and a scrape on my knee I took a picture of part of the Riverside R V Park, seems expensive to me but they stay pretty full.

The other picture is a spillway that holds the bayou back some.

It fooled me

I thought it was a very interesting flower I have never seen before so I stopped to take a picture of it. On close inspection I discovered that it was a Lei of fake flowers someone had tossed out.

Not Bad

Chuck Berry made it to 90, not bad. He had a bit of a shady history but most entertainers do.

Irish

St. Patrick’s day has a lot of foolish myths in it but it is still fun to be Irish on this day. After some fucking coffee I can be Irish for the day.

Saw a video about fishing for crappie with Slim Jim jerky, doesn’t seem to work here.

Bobbie left her lights on.

Asked me if I have a charger, goddamn right I do, and it isn’t any damn wimpy charger, when you have a stone dead battery you want to bring it back to life right and it helps to have an ass kicking charger to do that.

Nice

Nice in the park after it warmed up.
Catfish…. 1

At least there was one stupid fish in the bayou yesterday.

Going fishing

When I biked to the park yesterday Christina was there fishing, talked to her for a while but she didn’t catch anything while I was there. Said that she got a number of them the day before.

I’m fucking going fishing today.

Art with gun powder, watched a video about it yesterday, interesting, may try it being as I can make my own powder.

Pallets

Edna Jo, one of my favorite chicks here that me and 100 other men are in lust with mentioned that she was needing some pallets so yesterday I snagged five of them for her being as they are a bit hard to come by here.

Still not running

Mentioned that Tim gave me a gas leaf blower with a broken pull cord. Don’t need one but figured I would see if I could fix it anyway, some springs and cords are a bugger to figure out. When I took it apart the parts just fell out on the floor, great, now I didn’t know what order they were in there.

So I studied it for a while and it turns out that it is actually a pretty simple setup and easy to replace if you do it right. You have to turn it upside down to remove the two blower housing pieces, BUT, if you turn it back over after removing the screws and before removing the last housing piece everything stays in place and you can see how the parts go together and it is easy to replace the cord or a busted spring. The spring is contained in its own housing so won’t give you trouble like many of them do.

The turd didn’t tell me the primer bulb was also bad and I didn’t notice it until I replaced the starter rope, those little fuckers are expensive, not sure I want to buy one for something I don’t need anyway.

Shrimp are useful, did you know that? Some species of them remove parasites from fish that come to them just for that purpose. Of course, they are also tasty.

The man accused of driving a truck into a Mardi Gras parade crowd, injuring 28 people, had a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit, New Orleans police said….. Seems like a good place to avoid, lot of folks gets hurt or killed there every year. Been saying that for years. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

March 14th is steak and blowjob day.
