Got a little done yesterday

 I got a piece of lattice up yesterday, pretty nice day except for the damn wind. Took the pickup to Goodwill to pick up a recliner for a lady.

Rehomed

 Lady was kidnapped……. Not really but it turns out that my place, a four plex, wasn’t the best place for her cuz the neighbor also has a chi and hers barks at every fucking thing including its own shadow and would get Lady barking also. That was just to damn much barking here for me but all is good cuz a female friend half a block away was very lonely since losing her dog and begged me to let her have Lady so now she is being spoiled rotten and I have visitation privileges and will take her for walks and rides and such.

Western?

 I was born and spent most of my life in the West so I have certain ideas of what Western stuff is supposed to be, walked in the Wagon one day and one of the veggies with the lunch specials was western grits, hell, I’d never even heard of grits until I spent two years stationed in Florida so I was pretty curious about what western grits was like. Pretty good, seemed to have bits of meat in them.
Few weeks later I went to lunch and one of the specials was western hash and when it came I thought “Wut da fuk is tis?? I was expecting meat and spuds and stuff and it was mostly meat and rice, kinda makes sense I suppose, in the 1800’s I reckon spuds may have been a bit hard to come by at times and rice keeps well for a long time.

 Back in my youth you could buy a car for 25 to 50 bucks that would last you for a couple of years. Those were the good old days……… If I was a car salesman…..

Took Lady for a rabies shot yesterday and she shit on their floor, pissed all over and did her best to bite the guy, Leo would be proud of her. She is great with cats though.
I liked the speech by Biden and Cumala is cute. Lots of folks gripe that folks stay in office to long, the same ones gripe when someone just gets one term.

Meetings....

Day one

Day one with Lady went well, she seems to be adjusting well to living a quite life. Hope I can housebreak her but at least it seems she only goes in the bathroom instead of anywhere but I just hate getting up in the middle of the night to take a piss and step in dog shit or piss. She didn’t go inside last night so I hope we will adjust to each other and a good routine.

 Didn’t I say that I wouldn’t have a damn cha cha? Yup, well, I’m an unpredictable sum bitch and this one is a mix, they said. Shelters don’t get many small dogs I guess and this gal isn’t a yapper and has a few years on her so maybe we’ll get along pretty well, she has taken right to me. So far she seems pretty mild mannered and behaves well. She may have been with a rough family, has some wounds on her like she’d been in a fight with another dog. She is chipped and spayed and was checked out by the shelter vet, I just gotta take her for a rabies shot.

 Look at it this way, our forefathers knew what they were setting up was an experiment. There are no failed experiments; either the hypothesis is validated, or not. New questions arise, new hypotheses are made, and the experiments go on. Our government remains a social experiment, an experiment with lots of variables that are hard to control. This is who we are. Regardless of the comments made by foreign governments, we are continuing to succeed, simply by questioning and exploring new possibilities. Perhaps some other cultures cannot fathom the personal responsibilities we require from, and the great faith we try to have in the majority of our populace. It is our custom to learn and continue on. I like it this way. Consider it entertainment.
