Made my first bread yesterday, any idiot can make good bread with a bread machine but I’m a special idiot so I fucked it up somehow, I did use exact measurements but used some old all purpose flour (the bugs are just protein). And I used city tap water, that may be a no no also.
The dough was too dry even though I added a bit more water after it started kneading, and it didn’t rise good. Being heavy is no big deal but it also tasted like shit. Oh well, will try again, and use warm water next time.
