First launch

I really like the little 8 foot pelican, just right for one person on the bayou. Still have a few improvements to do but it is working out very well. Picked up a trailer winch and roller yesterday at Harbor Freight too make it easier to load, I may be getting old but I’ll kick that fucking bucket down the road as far as I can.

Can you picture me pulling my boat out to the bayou with my riding mower? LOL

I cut loose 4 abandoned drop lines with hooks yesterday and will rig up some for me to use but I’ll use my lines on the bottom. Thinking I will get a cheap depth finder.

A will to live

Two of the sunflowers are doing okay so far but I had to stake them to keep them from bending on the stocks.

One did get bent pretty bad but the little bastard is a fighter so I’ve staked it also, who knows, maybe it will start doing better, every living thing has a will to live.

Backyard engineering

oarlocks……. Yup, making them out of a couple casters I removed from a wheel chair someone left at a dumpster. Remove wheels, do some hacksawing, blah blah fuking blah. There are a lot of things hard to come by in this dipshit monkeyville so I just make up what I need.

On my hotcakes

For years I’ve used Karo syrup on my hotcakes, like it better than hotcake syrup. Needed some more recently and decided to try Blackburns light corn syrup cuz it was priced a lot cheaper. I really like it, and I damn sure like to save money.

I just made a cup of coffee and i swear i could hear the beers in the fridge whisper WHAT THE FUCK!

A/C

I’ve touched on this before but it is my humble fucking opinion that folks that don’t have some decent training should not be working on automotive A/C units. Yes, you can buy freon at lots of stores, and watch Utube videos about how to install it. But Utube doesn’t always replace some real training.

This has came up again cuz a friend brought me his rig that someone else had worked on and it had too much freon and oil in it. KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE DOING WHEN WORKING ON THEM!!!

Don’t use much of the freon with the oil and so called stop leak in it unless you are positive you need to replace a little oil. One can may be okay, more than that can lead to problems, the compressor isn’t a fucking hydraulic pump and if there is a leak find it and fix it. DON’T put too much of that freon in a system, it fucks it up.

Here a can of plain freon costs five bucks, a can with ‘stop leak’ and oil is fifteen bucks, just save your money and you won’t fuck your A/C system up with too much oil. And use good gauges that you know how to read.

Got a boat and trailer

I bought a used Harbor Freight trailer yesterday, it cost me twice as much as the boat. LOL

I removed all the deck planks but two, that is all the boat needs to sit on until I find some boat rollers to install on it. Gotta make some oars and seats for it, I sure have enough projects going for now.

A lack of respect

The sunflower seeds I bought for this year are crap, only half of them came up and they have thin stocks and keep bending over. I’ll be lucky to get one that produces some seeds this year, won’t buy that kind again.

It seems to me that a lot of folks sure don’t treat camping equipment with much respect, camping chairs especially are not made to handle heavy drunks flopping down on them. Settle onto them gently, especially when they don’t belong to you, you fucking morons.

Getting there

The new kitchen cupboards and counter top I’m working on is starting to come together even though I’m not getting them done very fast, painting things now then I’ll make the counter top, I already have the formica for it.

It blew up

Took my rider to mow two of Lonnie’s yards yesterday and my mower battery blew up, blew one end right out of it. No idea what caused that.

Got home and some men was here to replace a gas line, I never smelled a thing but my nose is pretty much shot, they had to cut an access hole in the pantry floor.

Early tomorrow I’m going to Fort Worthless again.

Not much to say about the trip to Fort Worthless other than I may be one of the few monkeys in this county that can coax the Pissant Express there and back without getting many problems or frying the engine.

Spent all the time there with Lonnie in case he needed help or things turned on him. It is my humble fucking opinion that he is doing great so far and feeling and eating better each day. But transplants can be tricky, just one bug bite can send you to the ER cuz you don’t have an immune system. 

He is staying in a short term rental home in River Oaks, a pretty damn nice area. All in all things went very well.
