Remember the Mopar slant six? It replaced the old Mopar flat head six and was put in lots of Chrysler products over the years. It was a goofy looking engine but they sure was tough.
Have a fucking blessed day.
Yep.... had one in a 1974 Plymouth Duster.... it had one of the ugliest vinyl roofs ever made.... and the body rusted incredibly fast.... but the motor.... solid and durable!
I believe that's what powered my '73 Scamp. I loved that car. I think the engine would have lasted forever, but the body rusted out around it to the point where when a wheel bearing went we decided it wasn't worth doing even that cheap and easy a repair.
Not sure how many miles were actually on it because we went for quite awhile without a working odometer, but I'm pretty sure it came close to making it to the moon, orbiting a few times, and starting back.

ReplyDeleteMorpar was a trade name that Chrysler corporation used.
