An SS raise? Hahahahahaha… Some folks actually believe that, they must be the kind of folks politicians like. It is a cost of living increase adjustment to cover things that have already gone up, most likely more than you get in the increase.
But wait, the whole fucking business world knows as soon as it is announced so everything gets raised up a bit again so they can get their share of the slice of pie so the increase is no way any sort of a raise, you are actually in the hole just a bit more.
