A few folks told me there was good fishing at Thrifty and I was given general directions. Go north on 279, just past the glass plant go left on the FM road, in a couple of miles go right at the old gas station and it is a couple of miles up that road. Like I’m supposed to know what the glass plant looks right. Anyway, found the place after a bit of wandering and the Thrifty settlement is no longer, I discovered the sign about it on the way back home.
The fishing place is actually a park, I’ll post about it tomorrow.
It’s Wednesday, one of the lunch specials at the Wagon will be liver and onions, may treat myself to lunch there today.
Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.
i'd be proud to call a town named thrifty home.
