Ever see one of these? A neighbor had one back in the
50’s. I don’t know how one got to northern Idaho way back then but he could get it running at times.
I am thinking that is a BMW Isetta! I used to like to read about “quirky” cars (hell, I still do). I saw one once at a flea market back in the late 70s.
From what I remember reading about them, they were in the US as “bonus” vehicles that dealerships would give to customers who bought a regular big car. I am pretty sure it was NOT through BMW dealerships as I think they were limited/nearly not existent in the US at the time.... but it was some partnership I think one of the big US auto companies had briefly with BMW back then..... can’t remember what I read as to which car company.
